THE DIFFERENCE IN COLOUR

The colour of the egg depends on the health and environment of the chicken. It is also determined by the breed of the hen, which lays the egg.

THE DIFFERENCE IN VARIETIES

It is said that the brown eggs are laid by the chicken that have red earlobes and brown feathers. Whereas the white eggs come from the chicken that have light coloured earlobe and white feathers.

THE DIFFERENCE IN SIZE

The brown eggs are bigger in size and the yolk of the egg is darker than the white variant. Also the brown egg comes from the chicken which has a big appetite!

THE DIFFERENCE IN NUTRITION

When it comes to calories, both of them are equal but the overall nutrient value of the eggs depend on the environment of the chicken. Brown eggs are slightly more rich in omega-3 content than the white ones but the difference is not too much. The protein and cholesterol content of both the eggs are equal.

THE DIFFERENCE OF TASTE

They both have the same type of taste but it is been said that the brown eggs taste better to a lot of people compared to the white one. Although it highly depends on the quality of the eggs and how fresh it is! There isn’t any significant difference in the nutritional value of both the eggs, but you can definitely try both and compare yourself before fixing with one.
